a new camera for motosport and family
Discussion
Hello
I am looking for a new camera for myself to take piccies when going to motorsport events and car shows and also general family pics.
I have been looking at bridge or smart cameras or basic end of dslr. one thing to bear in mind is I am a complete novice.
2 I have seen is fuji x10 and the nikon d3000.?
cheers

I loved my old Fuji Bridge camera - great to use and I got some really good shots from it over the years but I like my DSLR (Nikon D3000) more but I still regard myself as on the happy snapper side of the fenceI am looking for a new camera for myself to take piccies when going to motorsport events and car shows and also general family pics.

Most of my photography is pets, architecture, car shows, motorsports and the occasional family picture
Dipping to my photobucket (Le Mans Classic Last year)
Family (well mates)

Architecture (where we stayed)

And a more basic type (actual accomodation)

Racing (weather wasn't great for photos)

Was drier at night

Car show at the Camp site

Just a flavour and radomly selected from the album

Decent motorsport is going to mean an SLR.
+1....I loved my Fuji S9500 till it failed, i didnt like the HS30EXR, now looking for a Canon 600d or Nikon d5100, BUT if i was looking at a starter DSLR there are lots at under £200 to try out, Canons and Nikons older models
