Programme for resizing photographs

Can someone please tell me what is a good programme for resizing my photographs, at present I also use Picasso for storing my photographs.

Why do you want to resize them?

Picasa can resize them, use the export function.

To enable me to post on a forum with a size limit, but your suggestion sounds very easy, and is something all new to me.

If its just for forum purposes then get a free photobucket account or similar. They have various upload options meaning that whatever you upload will get resized into forum-friendly sizes (or whatever size you set) without you having to do anything at all.

Other free photo storage sites are available, but I've used photobucket on forums for years without a problem.

You can set the size when you export from picasa.

Ive used this in the past and had no issues

it will bulk resise and place in to a selected destination folder

For bulk-resizing (for putting onto a digital photo frame) I use FastStone Image Viewer. Works really well

Either this or flickr. Both have the option of providing online versions of your photos in different sizes without the need of manualling editing them.

I use Windows 'Paint'. Very easy to resize pics before posting on the Internet.

Right click image, click "Edit". CTRL+W, TAB, [enter percentage as number you want to resize], TAB,[enter percentage as number you want to resize], Return, CTRL + S, ALT + F4.

Turn on web-sync in Picassa. It'll upload them all automatically to a private album, then when you want to post one you just make that image public and copy and paste the URL.

I used to use that a lot on Windows

I tend to export from Lightroom limiting file size and pixels most of the time, if I'm in that batch of photos it's easy enough to export to a folder then upload the contents somewhere
