Just idly browsing, but the prices all seem messed up?

Canon nifty 50, £220?? 18-55 ES-S kit lens £255?

Nikon AF-S 50mm f1.8 £290, but the 50mm f1.4 only £282???

That can't all be right, can it?

Discussion on TP speculating they may've had to make good on import duties buyers have been landed with, supply chain issues, taking themselves out of discussions about serial number mismatch issues, or going to disappear only to re-appear under a new name.
They've claimed it's currency exchange difference, but the £ has only dipped by 7%, which doesn't stack up against the (circa) 20% increases.

Bottom line, no-one knows for sure the reason(s) for pricing themselves out of the running, esp when digitalrev and others have adjust prices for the £ devaluation - so something isn't hunky dory at chez Panamoz.

Just stumbled across the site purely by chance when looking for something non-camera related and noticed just how many of the Canon offerings are "out of stock".

Interesting but who knows what the significance is?
