LEDs for light box

I'm thinking of making myself a small lightbox 30mm or 40mm cube.
I have been thinking of using LED illumination, possibly strips along the top edges behind a diffuser.

What colour should I go for?
Note I'm really a point and squirt snapper, so colour correction post shooting will be a whole new experience for me, but it occurs to me that the colour may not be too important.

Any advices welcome, 'cos I really am on the bottom of the curve.
