April 2013 - Photo Challenge Entry Thread - Nature
Discussion
As it is now Spring, I wanted to set a theme that suits the season, and one that will hopefully get some more interest after the poor number of entries to last month's challenge. So the theme for this month is NATURE. Spring should be the perfect season for that, so come on people, enter a photo!
This thread for entries only.
Remember, this is the 'Challenge', so shots must be taken in April and specifically for the challenge.
As usual, the rules:
The photos taken must be your own work
The shot MUST be taken this month, with the closing date being midnight on the last day of the Challenge month.
The exif must be posted with your shot
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
The Challenge for next month should be generic, as not everyone has access to zoom, macro, specialist lenses. It should be shots that everyone is capable of achieving with the bare essentials.
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo. Some people still have black and white tellies, and use these stupid 3G phone things for browsing the interweb. Links to larger versions are permissible.
Good luck!

I was worried that we were on for another poor challenge turnout for a while, but a rush of quality entries towards the end has made my job of picking a winner a lot tougher! Thanks for all who entered. All were worthy photos, but here are my personal top 3:
3rd place goes to londonagent
2nd place, and runner up is nessiemac
And the winner is curtisl
Given that you also won the Photo comp this month, looks like you've got two themes to pick, curtisl.

A stunning scene. I loved the mist on the water, and the PP treatment done to the image. Congrats!Given that you also won the Photo comp this month, looks like you've got two themes to pick, curtisl.
