Issues with colour output from a camera
Discussion
Hi all, I have a little problem that I'd like some input on:
I have been handed over a project for work, where we use wired cameras coupled to wireless transmitters, for viewing on a handheld monitor (within 10 metres).
The issue I'm having is the picture is sometimes black and white, and most of the time in colour. I have tested a batch of components and cannot identify where the problem is, as cameras will work fine with some transmitters and not others, and likewise, some transmitters will show a colour picture with some cameras but no others.
What could be causing this problem? As it's not consistent (eg a given camera is always black and white), I think this is a conflict between the components, but what governs the picture's colour (or lack of?)?
Thanks in advance.

You've swapped cameras and transmitters, have you checked the wires? That to me sounds like a connection issue.
The cameras are plugged via a 3.5mm jack in the transmitter, the wire is part of the camera unit (hard wired into the camera, male jack at the other end), so I can't swap them, and as such I don't think this can be where the problem is?Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
