Hi guys,

As the title suggests, anyone used these guys before? Quite reputable?

With respect to name and shaming policy, PM me if its not something that you want to share in public.

Thanks guys,
Duffman

They have been around for some time now and although I haven't used them myself people on this forum who have speak very highly of them.

used once.... very good

Have recently used Hireacamera and they were, to put it simply, bloody marvelous.

LensesForHire sent the 70-200 F2.8 I loaned in a cardboard box (well packed mind). Hireacamera sent all their kit in separate zip tied flight cases and sent mailing bags and mail stickers for when UPS come back to get it.

They hire out Sony kit which was the main reason for using them. But I will be a return customer as the whole experience was just excellent. Though they were a bit surprised that I was simply a private individual wanting to rent kit (spent about £150 for weekend hire of a Carl Zeiss 24-70 f2.8, a Sony FM-60 flash gun and Sony LA-EA2 lens adapter to mount it to my NEX), paying with my own money to do a job I wasn't being paid for!

I guess they get a load of pro's or corporates who pay via some other means. Anyway they delivered on thursday so I ended up with 4 days hire really, even though I only wanted the weekend. Their explanation was they do this so that if anything is wrong, you at least have whatever is left of thursday + friday to contact them and for them to sort you out by saturday.

I've used LensesForHire.co.uk a few times and have been impressed with the service. FWIW last time I hired a 300 f2.8 from them it came in a peli case.
