....has anyone used them? I'm looking to get a couple of A3-ish sized prints done. I've used Photobox in the past but fancy trying somewhere new. They seem to have quite a few different printing options, any experience?

I've used them for a couple of big panoramas. I went for photo print stuck to aluminium.

I've used them a few times for framed prints. Perfect every time, really can't fault them.

They're my normal choice when doing work for clients (and even family of late), never had a single issue with them whichever option I used.

I've used them twice. Top quality. The frameless prints behind acrylic are nice. Make sure you have some tools available if you order anything large as their packaging is custom made and involves wood and it is all stapled together. It took me >30mins to open a 40x60cm framed print!

No complaints other than it can be agonising waiting for your stuff to come if you are desperate for it (or nervous that you might be away when they eventually deliver). In fariness, they were accurate with the estimate that the gave me upfront (3 weeks +/-) but as I was about to skip-off on holiday, I succombed to temptation and started checking the status online/daily and recall that the information presented only served to get my hopes up. They stuck to the plan with ruthless German efficiency but in the end, I ended up e-mailing them to get a tracking number as by default, it appeared that their order status tool didn't include the delivery courier tracking info - although they may well be working on improvements in that area.

Just tried uploading some files on their site, and the preview quality of the file is nowhere near the standard I can view on my PC.

Is this normal? With Photobox, the uploaded files are still good quality when zoomed in.

I guess if it's only preview it create a low res of your image. If you've pepared/sharpened you file and optimised it then I suspect they'll sue the big file. I have used them a few times for big formats and the quality was superb.

Used Whitewall twice so far and on both occasions they have been brilliant. Got prints of my daughter done for both.

A2 sized direct print onto aluminium for the first, and a 10" x 8" print behind acrylic for the second.

Excuse the Pot Puri. Mrs's choice, not mine. I wanted my 1:18 model of the 911 GT1 there, but that got vetoed. -100 man points.

The quality is superb, and price very reasonable given the quality of the product. Delivery times have been spot on too. Nothing to fault.

Thanks for the reassurance, I wimped out over the weekend and got a couple of Photobox prints instead.
