I have the GoPro Hero 2, and want to be able to operate it from inside the car.

I see that there are wifi remotes, and wifi bacpacs.
Do I need both?
Where can I get them today? I'm heading off to Le Mans early Tbursday, and have just remembered that I need one

Many thanks from a numpty!

You definitely need the wifi bacpac.

The remote is optional depending on whether you want to use the Gopro app on your phone or the remote.

DogCamSport and Amazon do next day delivery I believe

Hi David, hope you are well.

OK, the WiFi remote is a remote control that operates the GoPro camera.
The BacPac is a 'bridge' between the remote and the camera

You will need both as you have a GoPro HD Hero 2

You will need to upgrade the software on your GoPro camera to use it with a remote

You don't need both if you use the remote control app on your phone.

Thanks all. I have blackberry, which doesn't have a remote app, however I managed to get the pack last night from... a cycling shop!

All talking to each other, so now prepared for the Le Mans road trip epic "The Movie"

I was gonna say, when you buy the hero 2 wifi back pack, it comes with the remote.

It does indeed, all for the princely sum of £99. No doubt i could have got it cheaper... but i had run out of time. Le Mans here we come!
