Been looking at these http://spy-cam-review.toptenreviews.com/

They all seem to be motion activated or just manual start/stop. What I want is something that can be scheduled to record for the same 1-2 hours each day.

Nothing too expensive.

Working off the mains? No, this is for outside, probably placed in a tree, covert style, wireless. Keeping an eye on my business premises.

Try googling wildlife camera rather than Spy... I seem to remember seeing that there was one with a timer, Obviously waterproof and battery too.

Thanks, GC, but still not found anything. Most of them have onscreen time/date stamps, so they have clocks, which would be a prerequisite to a timer record function, but I can’t find one with that function. Few of them have LCD screens either (SJ1000 an exception), but I’m sure you could set the recording times when you connect it to your PC – that’s how you set the time/date stamp.

What about a foscam set to only record when motion is detected?

They have a on board SD card to record to and if its on your network you can view it on your phone/ pc etc etc
