10D - Thoughts.....
Discussion
Get it if you have the opportunity. For sports or wildlife photography the 10D will be much better suited to your needs.
As already mentioned though, lenses are the key so you'll need to spend big for the Canon 'L' range of lenses.
I currently use Sigma lenses on mine and although im learning the quality is good for me to start off with. Once ive got a bit better then i'll start looking at the extra investment of 'L' glass.
Get a polarizing lense filter as this seems to sharpen things up a bit.
Looking at some of the photo's in the calendar link...perhaps they'd like to pass on a few tips to us newbies...

Thanks for all of the advice but I think it's been sold, it was advertised on another forum and he's said it's been sold, someone asked if it was to me, answer was no. Although I've not heard anything directly from the seller so...

Having picked up my 20D last week, I got a bit of inside info from my local Jessops.
Out of 15 20D orders, 11 were from existing 10D owners trading as upgrades. Jessops were offering between the £350 and £450 mark for 10D dependent on age. New 10D's were going for £950 (price matched with Park Cameras) with the used ones advertised for around the £700 mark. People enquiring about 10D's meant they were already sold before they arrived.
It might be worth approaching a couple of dealers to see if they have any coming in.
Here's a couple I've found.
