Iphoto editing help please.

Hi all,

Having edited photos, flagged them and exported them to a new folder on my desktop, the new folder contains only the originals and not the edited photos,

When I review the flagged items or create a folder within iPhoto, the edited ones are there but when I click to view them, they revert to their original pre edited version.

Any ideas on what in doing wrong

hard to say but i would start by clicking on the folder within iphoto that has your correctly edited photos.

create the folder on your desktop that you would like to export them into.

select all of the edited photos from within iphoto and then just drag them into the folder on your desktop. that should create copies of the edited photos in your desktop folder

Also why do you want copies of the edited pictures? why not just leave them in iPhoto? unless you're sending them to someone.

That's basically what I have one,

Edited the photos in iPhoto, elected and exported into a new folder on my desktop and was going to email them but when I open the folder and select the photo to email, they revert to their unedited state.

They are for a colleague hence I wanted to mail them and not share them on Flickr or similar

that's very odd

i've just tried this on iPhoto.

i took an image that was in an event and edited it. i then went back into the event with all the thumbnails and dragged the edited image onto my desktop. it copied the edited image.

when you export, did you drag the images or go to file>export>?

if you went to file>export> under the 'kind' selection, did you pick jepg or original? if you picked original it will export the original unedited image. it defaults to jpeg which will export a jpeg of the edited image. i've just checked on mine and it exported the edited image.
