Hi Guys,

Last night was my first real attempt at something like this, would seriously appreciate comments/critique, especially the latter, as i need to know exactly where i'm going wrong to correct it!

I feel personally, that there is too much light from the dual carriageway in the top right segment of the first image, so i made a minor adjustment, which can be seen in the lower image, but i'll hand it over to you guys... For all i know, i've created a pile of guff.

Finally, the last thing i did was spin around and take a quick shot of the other direction

Cheers for the comments & critique in advance,

Yupp, the road too bright, the top and front of the car to dark.

Also, there's too much text on the photo IMO. The writing on the side, the reg number AND your massive watermark, all very distracting. I would also crop a bit more of the top.

The second photo is much better. It's good technically and much more interesting, the top one is more like somebody parked a car and blocked you from taking a second photo wink

Quite like the pinky/purple haze over the road in the top one.

Agree that there is too much text going on, though I think this could be solved by just removing the water mark. Or if you dont want to remove it, at least reduce the size and perhaps make it a little transparent.

Car might be unevenly lit to some, but I like that kind of partial lighting. However, the light does look a little too harsh (I'm guessing it was bare flash?) and I think too much of the road/foreground has also been lit. Perhaps, you could re-try the shot but try light painting instead of a flash gun?

The haze is good, the "supernova explosion" in the middle of it could be less prominent... wink

Thanks Guys,

The watermark is rather large, i have a much smaller one i will most likely stick on the images. It was done with bare flash yes as the torches i have are rather crap at putting out light... Time to trawl the PH torch thread! I will have another try at it though biggrin Thanks for the input!

A shorter shutter speed would have made the road section less bright. You could have experimented with several exposures and also composited left and right to get the best road and the best car.
