Just as Jessops drop the 300D to £650 Canon announce the new 20D and the new EF-S lenses.

B'stads!

Just a little joke for those that know about my "compulsive" buying

BTW: I found a better photo developer in the end and it was local to me too.
Capital Service via LCE (London camera exchange)
-7.5 x 5 (yeah I didnt know that size exsisted ether)
-Nice hard plastic clear case
-CD with 3 resolutions of each shot
-£6.49 for up to 40 prints
Bargin!
It saved me over £70 when I got my holiday photos done.

Thats full frame 7x5 - normal 7x5 crops a bit off the end. I always get my developed at this size - makes photo albums a bit of a pain, but you get the whole shot!

I wondered where you had got too... Nice to have you back.

The canon is a different frame size 3x2 to the sony which was 4x3 (IIRC) which means that they cropped my last lot of prints. I cant understand why they thought this was acceptable at all. People spend time and effort to get the composition of a photo right and then some chimp chops bits off it. I asked the printer (new guy incidentally) and he goes "You always get some cropping unless you specifically request otherwise". Why the hell would a printer do that?!?

Rant over...

Hello camera people!
Nice welcome thankyou.

Im back and you can now rib me for wanting a 20D and still not being able to afford it! Silly really becuase I spend so much on developing films it would work out cheaper. Perhaps a low finance deal will have to be done. Where is good for that?

0% credit card I here you say but I filled that up during my travels

Hi Dusty; if you can be a business I might be able to fix you up with a 20D on 3-year lease. It will cost more overall though...

Or of course there's this spare D70 waiting to go to a good home :cutepuppy:

I could do you a favor and foster that D70 for you if it brings its own lenses along.
Is it house trained?

This is my thinking entirely - I easily spend £30 a month on films and developing so a decent finance deal could see me saving a few quid AND having a nice shiny camera at the end of it.

dave, if you hear of anything good let me know.
I'll send you anything I here about.

(Jessops have the EOS300D with 18-55 lens for £650 and do finance. Not sure what the APR is though).
