I want one (or maybe both)

Sony G or Zeiss glass and Exmor sensor in your pocket.

I think its a nice idea. Not sure how well it will sell though and I am willing to bet the software SONY put out for it will be atrocious. But, it effectively means you dont need a phone and a compact camera. You just have your phone, then clip on what is basically the RX100 on the back and away you go. That you can use it as is without attaching to a phone may provide for some interesting usage!

Seems to me you then have a phone that's too big and a camera that won't fit in your pocket...

For me that looks like a great alternative to when you don't want to bring out your DSLR for whatever reason. I may ask santa to get me this.

I don't agree - it's not like the S4 Zoom. From what I can see connecting it to your phone is entirely optional - so when you don't want the extra bulk you just don't take the lens (much as when you don't want the extra bulk now you don't carry your camera - you just carry your phone.) As long as it connects easily you can just chuck the lens in another pocket even.

It looks like it can be attached to any modern smart phone as well. That could prove a big selling point (particularly for me.)

I really like the look of that. My only slight concerns are if the lens is too heavy (it looks pretty big) it could completely unbalance the phone when attached, and I'm not sure if it'd connect properly if you're using a phone case. Looks really promising though.

Its an interesting idea but the top spec one is far too restricted.

Most of the cost of the r100s but far fewer shooting mores and no raw shooting etc.

This is a premium enthusiast product with entry level options :/

I was seriously thinking about asking Santa for one of these until I saw it doesn't do RAW or full manual - only aperture priority and exposure compensation. That's a real shame - I really like the look of it otherwise.
