I have a neighbour who's quality of life is being drastically diminished by masc. degeneration.

I've made accessibility changes to her windows machine to there's a huge zoom, giant cursor, etc. She's happy when using the PC - but away from that, things are getting her down quite a bit.

What I've suggested might help is a head mounted display with a zoomable/macro-ish camera with a composite out going into the HMD - something like the i-cine Hi Res.

Basically, what I'm asking is, what camera type will have a zoom, is decent quality but low cost, can be hand held, and features image stabilisation.

If she has the option to mount something onto the goggles/headset, she might be able to sit with the other half and enjoy a film etc. If the camera is hand held she can zoom in on a book or the newspaper, which is something important to her.

What sort of camera should I be looking for? 'Barrel/bullet' or something? It needs to have RCA composite out, as the guys at i-Cine have pointed out.

I'm also imagining her mounting it on the end of stick and getting herself into all sorts of situations.
