Magic lantern vs ptool vs Sony?
Discussion
Hi
I'm thinking of updating my Nikon d80 to something newer. I'm sure anything current can match up to the d80 image quality which to be honest is plenty good enough anyway.
I'm keen to get something that makes a good stab at video and is smaller and lighter than the d80 and 18-200 nikkor.
I know Dslr video usually gets panned but have heard good things about Panasonic m4/3 for video and know a couple of friends who shoot professionally with magic lantern enabled canons. Also I know that sony are respected in video but have no idea if their dslt range is decent for it.
Something like a canon 100d is where I'm leaning but when I remember trying a friends 400d last time round and the build quality was rubbish.
It's that memory and a potentially small viewfinder that have held me back from making the change so far.
