Do you think it's a viable alternative to a Go Pro?

Amazon are are selling the basic version for £207.95

The elite is £349.

Quite a difference between the two price wise, the elite has wifi and gps capability.

I haven't used the VIRB but at the Elite price, it's pretty much the cost of the new Gopro Hero 3+ Black and more expensive than the Hero 3 Black which is good value as an outgoing model. The GPS might be worth the extra to some though.

If you're only looking at the entry level VIRB though it might be worth a punt.

Amazon have reduced the price of the basic version over the last few days.

Will wait a while to see if the elite drops too.
