Hello Chaps,

Wife just got in from work all in a panic. Family in Vietnam took a picture but when looking back saw ghosts! Have a look at the pictures:

I hope your collective minds can somehow explain this? I am hoping something along the lines of having an app or something on the phone camera that children may have installed?!?

From what i remember there is a ghost option on one of these camera apps. And it just overlays a picture just like that.

Here you go, it is called camera 360. Sounds like someone was playing a trick on her.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but talking of ghost picture, I found this recently and gave me the shivers. The photo was taken about 20 years ago at Chiswick House in London, and I have no explanation for it. It's probably someone inside the house (although my Google search revealed the house - particularly this room - is known to be haunted!) but it's just so creepy.

and zoomed in....

I was once exploring the highlands and turned down a lane which ended up at a hotel, on arriving the hotel was closed for winter, but an old lady saw me and rather than look dodgy I explained that I was just out taking photos, she said she was the owner of the hotel and I was welcome to stay and scout their grounds. It was such an eerie place, big rambling castle of a place, and all the time I was out it felt like I was being watched, I didn't stay long, had I taken any shots of the hotel itself I'd not have been surprised if there had been a face in a window like that one.

Firstly ghost aren't real so no

Secondly if ghosts were real then it is reasonable to assume (from ghost tales, legend, superstition, recorded sightings etc) they would be at the same scale as they were when alive.

Both of the ghosts in the top two images are at massively incorrect scales so must be fake.

The ghost in the window of the house is at the correct scale and could be interpreted as being a 'real' ghost

Thing that makes me laugh in the OP,s pics is that whoever done the trick must have sat and thought right, big dark panda eyes, check, head bowed slightly, check, solemn look check..... .See i would get that all wrong,i'd probably mistakenly slip in a goofy bushy haired ginger haired guy with a cap on back to front, with both thumbs stuck up in the air towards the camera and he'd be cross-eyed with his tongue out.rolleyes

On the topic of ghost pictures and ghost voices captured as EVP, have a read about Pareidolia for the most likley explanation for these phenomena .

It always suprises me when people see this sort of picture and immediately think "Ghost". I'd just think, "ah, look, there's someone in there looking out the window" Even 20 years ago, i believe that could happen :-)

I don't think I said anywhere that I immediately thought it was ghost. I only said I had no explanation for it if you read it carefully. I also said it was probably someone inside the house..... rolleyes

You've taken a picture of a real person and the ghost of Chiswick House appeared.
I've taken photos of real people too. When I'd get the prints back from Truprint I'd find the ghost of a lamp post in several images, normally sticking out of the person's head.
Spooky.

I think that one is a trick of the mind type thing.

Its actually the pattern / folds in the curtain and it looks kinda like a face so our brain completes the image for us.

Amazing how the Ghost in the OP pictures managed the same pose at the same angle on two photos taken at two different times

If ghosts are real, why do we only see ghosts of people? Why are there no ghosts of animals, or dinosaurs?
