I haven't uploaded any pics for a while to my Flickr Pro account and it seems to have changed in the last 2-3 months quite a bit.

I can no longer share any of my photos, if I click an image then scoll across to get the menu none of the buttons do anything other than close the little window. I also can't get to the bottom of the page to click on help because it keeps loading images so as soon as I get a view of help/forums etc another 10 images load and force it down!

To say I'm getting a bit annoyed is an understatement!

It's been a long day so is it just me being a spanner or can someone suggest something to enable me to share an image?

The share button is now like the Apple version of Share, a square with an arrow coming out of it.
There you will find the options for HTML and BBCode as before

Nope, click on it and the whole window disappears no HTML or BBcodes shown, hover the cursor over it and nothing happens.

Works fine for me?

Do you have a url of a page where it isn't working?

Perhaps it is an account setting? I seem to recall them having an option not to let people embed photos, etc.

Also, what browser are you using?

Using the latest IE and it used to work fine probably 2-3 months ago so wondering if something hasn't updated properly.

Try another browser?

Rules it out being an IE issue - as you can see the 'link' box open but nothing is being rendered in it?

Fwiw, if I go to - http://www.flickr.com/photos/14-7/11136213543/

...and press the button with the box-and-arrow under the image (tool-tip says "More ways to share") then the box opens normally with options for Facebook, Twitter, linking, HTML / BB code, etc.

No problems in Firefox 25.0.1

(nice photo btw smile)

No idea if this is related but when I use flikr I have to turn off AVG to upload pics - possibly something on your computer that has updated since you last used it?

Me too, and so do millions of other uses it seems.
I use it considerably less than I used to as do my contacts. Yet my stats are much higher than they used to be.
Shame Marissa Mayer and her team refuse to listen to our comments.
It makes me wonder if any of the development team actually use Flickr?

The option that should bring up the dialogue where you can C&P the code to share the image doesn't work for me at all in the new beta experience. I have to use the old flickr interface to get certain features to work.

Bear in mind that Flickr gives you 1TB of storage for free, whereas 500px only gets you 60GB for free.

A paid 500px account is 3TB(ish), though.

Flickr also don't give a crap about bandwidth, whereas 500px do - 1GB per month on a free acount.

I've been thinking about this as an offsite backup option, basically upload everything I've got and set it to private so no one but me can get hold of it.

Any reason why I shouldn't do this instead of paying however much a month for conventional cloud storage?
