Eventually the pontification had to stop, and I've pulled my finger out and ordered a 6D with a 17-40mm lens.

Particularly looking forward to the difference in low-light and high-ISO performance compared to my current 550D, whilst the wifi and GPS will save quite a bit of aggro (especially the latter, much time spent sitting in front of the Lightroom map, guessing about where I was when I took that picture).

And it's Magic Lantern-compatible, so all that goodness is available too.

Anyone got one? Any tips and tricks?

Apparently you can push it up beyond 100K

Which obviously won't be any good for anything other than pub bragging, but still.

Got it. Charging the battery. It's certainly a bit beefier than the 550D, but not outrageously so.

A pleasingly modest amount of packaging, too.

Bonus: copy of Lightroom 5 and Premiere Elements 12 in the box.

I've already got LR and don't do video, but it's the thought that counts.

The only thing I don't like is the lack of joystick.

Have another one here on loan from canon and it's a really great camera
