Nice. I'll be expecting some nice shots of Noble in the sunny hills of southern Spain.

Martin,

Check the firmware and if required update to 1.0.5

It prevents the 'lock-up' issue.

Make sure you follow the procedure correctly - lens off.

Hi Dusty,
You're probably right about the clouds, I can see....nearly 1! as you see from the piccys I just took by the sea. I'm waiting for them to upload onto Fotango. I chickened out on the beach as it's really soft, but I got pretty close. How are all the guys in Hampshire, well I hope. Say hello for me. I hope to see you at LM again.
Martin.

LM...excellent. We are all booked up and ready to roll.

I'll see you again on the Friday morning. Same place and time.

Look forward to seeing those pics. I bet the Noble causes quite a stir over there.

Oo! Let me know how you get on with the lens (it's hard to tell when pictures are compressed for the web). I'm thinking about this lens for my D70.

Cheers!
Phil.

Martin,

Click the menu button, scroll down to firmware and see what release your body is currently on.

If it's lower than 1.0.5 you might experience the camera locking up. The only way to unfreeze it is to remove the battery, wait for a few seconds and then replace.

If you choose to update, go to http://web.canon.jp/Imaging/BeBit-e.html and click the 20D link.

Download the update and the relevant pdf instruction file.

You will need either a card reader for a desktop PC or an adapter for a laptop.

Any problems, shout

Simon

Phil,
On the picture above of the rear, the picture is so good I can zoom in and read the bottom of the numberplate where it says "when someone gives me a good reason to grow up I'll think about it"
Pretty damned good then! Martin.

Martin, You should send some back to Noble. They would probably use them in their presspacks etc.
