Particularly liked "Caledonian Pines in the clouds on the top of Ben Shieldaig" - and also laughed at the 40 sheep, could be scene straight of a Wright and Pegg re-write of 'The Birds' but with sheep.

Surely that would be 'night job' at this time of year? Something to do when there is not enough light to make it worth being out with a camera?

You are right though, unless we get a high pressure sat over us, mid Dec to mid Jan are a photographic write off this far north. Even when the sun is supposedly 'up' it's stuck behind a hill until about 11 a.m. and gone by 2 p.m. However, just occasionally, when we do get a high pressure at this time of year the stillness is stunning... this, exactly a year ago:
