Backing up photos - cloud, NAS, USB?

Curious as to how people back up their photos?

Do you use 'cloud' based products, USB storage, NAS drive ????

Currently, I'm using a NAS drive (2x drive in raid) and Dropbox.

I'm beginning to wonder whether Dropbox is the right package to use and might start to look at other options, but wanted some pointers please.

I have mine backed up over my USB 3.0 external drive and the D:\Media\Photography folder on my desktop, which is also setup as one of my Dropbox folders. When I got my Galaxy S3 I got a free 50GB Dropbox account so whenever I sync the drives, Dropbox updates.

Mac has time machine running on one drive, two externals mirrored as and when and a third I take off site. I bank on the HD failing at some point, so I use the cloud as well (spideroak). I used to have a NAS but the controller failed and turned it into a brick so whipped the HD out.


Edit. On DVD as well, spread it around as much a possible. Oh, and a goodly chunk on flickr seeing as they give a terabyte of free storage, site is naff though.

I've just put mine on Amazon Glacier as my offsite solution.

A HP Microserver with RAID 1, then I backup Crashplan, which offers unlimited space for 5 years for around £140

All three options. All my photos live on my NAS. The NAS backs up every night to Amazon Glacier. I also have a USB drive that I keep in my desk at work that has a full copy of the NAS on it, updated once a month.
