CS2 probably uses an early version of ACR that doesnt support the D600. Not all RAW formats are created equal.
You may be able to download a more up to date version from the Adobe site.
Edit: you want ACR 7.2

I've had this problem this week as well with my D3200 and CS3, have a look at this table, it looks like you'll need CS6 to open your files.

There may be another way but not that I know of.

The version of Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) that comes with CS2 pre-dates the D600 and doesn't support the file format, so you'd need to update ACR to an up to date, or later, version.

However, this http://www.nphotomag.com/2013/05/17/adobe-camera-r... suggests you'd need at least CS6 to work with the files. As a workaround, you could convert your files into Adobe's RAW format (DNG) using their converter http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp...

Damn! Beaten to it wink

The trial of Lightroom would convert them too, just as a stop gap?

Use the Nikon NX converter on the CD that came with the D600 and convert the RAW file to a DNG file, you can then load it up to Photoshop as either a JPEG or TIFF file. This is a well known issue with the later Nikons. Adobe have been very slow to produce a RAW convertor solution with CS6 and Adobe Bridge.

Think you'll find it won't, the D600 RAW files can currently only be opened with either Lightroom 5.0, Nikon View NX2 or Photoshop CS6. You need the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw 7.3 which is in LR5 and CS6.

Or you could use the Adobe DNG convertor...
