Which finish for large format prints?

I am looking to have some of my photos printed, several landscapes and I have different frame sizes in which to mount them. The largest is about 100x70, with a cardboard mount inside. Its acrylic rather than glass, but I was thinking of something high gloss, which captures the highlights and shadows of the image.

I know its not cheap but I was looking at Fujiflex. Is it suitable for the application I need to use it for or is it not suitable behind glass/acrylic? It might sound like a fairly straightforward question but I'm looking for something that 'pops' if possible.

Gloss is best for contrast and colour (which is what I presume 'pops' means).

Photobox 'glossy' works fine for me. The mount will keep it away from the underside of the glass/acrylic, which is important as patches can appear if they touch. You'll need the prints properly mounted (ie stuck flat) or you'll notice undulations in certain lights.

I tend to go for matte prints if they are going into a frame with glass/acrylic over the front.

As above, if the print touches the glass it needs to be matte. If it doesn't then gloss is good. My mate is a framer and HATES getting gloss to put behind (touching) glass.
