Moon this afternoon

Panasonic Lumix held in my shacky hands upto the eyepiece. Amazed I managed to get anything at all !

Not a bad shot. Have you got the exif data?

Yeah should have. I'll stick it up later. Taken at 4pm with a nice blue sky and stuck through Lightroom. Used a Meade 90mm Maksutov-Cassegrain with a 26mm Plossl.

I don't have an astronomical mount for it though so it was on a cheap tripod that moves if a fly passes within 20 feet.....

Yeah it is a bit unclear but you should have seen the other 150 I attempted

That makes 2 of us. It was my first go and only the second time I had used the Scope which belonged to my Dad. He was a proper amateur Astronomer. He built an Observatory in the garden with a sliding roof and a 10" Scope.

No that's a great shot Kev ! I don't think it's worth spending any money buying a mount etc for my little 90mm scope.

I was looking at Dobsonians. You can pick up a nice 8" for under £300. BUT I would want to take pictures.....

Started looking a bit deeper and it began to look like a money pit so I've decided to put it to the back of my mind lol !
