The weirdest place you have found your photography

I wanted to start a thread about this some months back as I think it's pretty interesting.

Basically, Google has a 'search by image' feature in which you either upload an image or use the direct url of an image to search for matches.

So go here:

http://images.google.com/imghp?hl=en

Click the camera next to the search box and either upload or paste the url of your most successful/viewed/liked image and tell us where the weirdest/most interesting/best places you have found your images featured.

So far I've found my most successful image on:

• An inspirational military post in Russian.
• The visuals for a dubstep song on Youtube
• The Chive
• A Japanese Yahoo blog post (with a stty Instagram filter added to it)

Out of interest; did you let them use your images or have they stolen them ?

Oh they're all stolen but none of them (outside of possible The Chive) are making much from it so I'm trying not to think about that. Plugging every leak when your photography is on an online portfolio, flickr, 500px, see.me etc. is a full time job.

I have a German "lads" magazine with a selection of the below in. It's a bit like FHM, but slightly more hardcore...

Click the link in my original post, click the camera icon within the search bar and then paste a direct link from your Flickr. The link should look like this:

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8143/7656075624_f617...

I.E Right click an image, choose a size, right click the image and copy image url. ^ That url is one of yours.

Flickr, here and a couple of other forums it seems.

Not especially weird, but loads appear on Tumblr, the home of stolen images.

Always have loads on Tumblr - usually car photos or my pictures from Disney World. Some have the decency to leave a link back to Flickr but most don't. Some have even credited themselves as the source, which is just plain out of order.

That's what i was thinking, but how to go about invoicing a Russian publisher? I suppose it can't hurt to try and track down contact details and send something over!
