the area is about 100m wide. Level 2 is about 15 - 20m from the track.

i thing you could take a dslr but good luck with photo's moving lights and cars would a nightmare for you. I would just take a simple normal digital camera that would sort itself out.

Yea, just don't expect time to set up. Different colours very qiuckly and at time the lights will be in your face and alot of movement.
