shot this SLR last weekend. had to turn it into B&W sadly, mixed colour temperature available light.

she's still very, very pretty though!

That's a lovely shot, very dramatic!

I think it works extremely well in B/W. Did you shoot it in a studio with controlled lighting or have you worked a little Photoshop magic on the image?

My only critisism would be that it's not 100% head-on....still excellent though.

lol. it is shot through glass on a rotating plinth (whilst it was moving!) available light at mclaren HQ. only photoshop is colour, contrast and a bit of extra background...

you can see the plinth on this shot...

I thought this was going to be a picture of a 1Ds!

Nice car, and lovely photo. I'm interested to know where it was shot (studio?) and how it was lit too

it's lit from above with an oval softbox of florescent light, with ambient (and different colour temp) florescent bleeding in from the surrounding area..

here is what the room looked like - i am outside shooting through the windows.

Cracking first pic.

I'm impressed you managed to get a camera into MTC...

Gah - and we thought you'd lit it yourself!

Yep, I read it as meaning ambient, ie 'not flash'. One wrong word a day isn't bad. But you're still a con-artist and try a smiley next time.
