I can make the movie, copied to PC from digital camcorder, but then can't get it to record to DVD - even though my PC (Sony Vaio desktop) has a DVD recorder.

I get various error messages, such as there is no drive/no disc, even though ther are.

Any suggestions?

Some suggestions (I've had similar probs - and have Sony Vaio)

Run 'Click to DVD' (all Sony Vaios have it) This is the nuke option.

or : Save the movie in a different folder - then try. This is the 'over the top from the trenches option'

if they both fail... e mail me, I might have some even more cunning plans... Ypres maybe?

Having had a look around at the Microsoft site, it seems that WMM doesn't support saving to DVD's

Any suggestions about an XP friendly DVD program - "Click to DVD" bundled on the Vaio is noweher near as good as WMM for actually creating the films...

I had this problem with my PC, I had to use a copy of Nero which came with the burner, which seems pretty basic plus help from DVD shrink but now use Studio 9
