Bought the 20D on Ebay last night, and upon arrival will be selling the 300D. Those interested should look in the classifieds (shortly) or email me offline.

Ahem.....didn't you advise me not to do exactly what you've just done?! Something along the lines of spending money on better quality glass instead......

Congratulations on the purchase BTW, I am just a teeny-weeny bit envious!

Well that still holds true....I got better quality glass 3 months ago

Seriously, if folks could ask around to see if anyone wants a 300D, I'd be extremely grateful.

Thanks

I've been trying to tempt my Father-in-Law but haven't managed it quite yet. Are you able to give an indication of how much you want, I'll see if I can persuade him.

This should tell you everything you need to know. Note it includes the vertical grip, which you could make use of yourself Jo.

You're keeping the old lens and selling the new one - is that *really* so that buyers can have a new lens?!

I did consider stagging it but am not feeling too confident about reselling DSLRS at the moment!

Bargain for anyone that wants one though, and good provenance.

Absolutely really. I was doing a shoot last weekend and managed to drop it 1 metre on to a concrete floor . Scratched UV filter, and there's a paper/foil crunching sound when I zoom the lens (from what a I remember with an old Sigma lens, this is to let the manufacturer know that you dropped it when trying to complain the lens is rubbish and doesn't work). But the lens still works fine, as the MPH pics show.

Just try explaining that to a potential buyer. I just don't want to take the risk of it failing on a PHer or anyone else, shortly after sale, as that would lead to a whole host of issues, the biggest being my good name, so they get the new one, and I'll keep the old one.

Sorry folks, just been sold to a guy at work. Told him first thing this morning, and confirmed about 45 minutes ago. He took a look at the PH ad, called wife (its for her), and said yes. Sorry Jo, and FrenchTVR.
