Internet shopping and grey imports
Discussion
Ok, my 3rd thread on buying a camera, so sorry for this.
However the decision gas been made and I'm going for a EOS 6D.
So the question is where from, prices seem over the shop from less than a grand to over1400.
Whilst the luxury of walking into a shop and buying one is great, paying 400 notes more for the pleasure is too rich for me.
So what's the issue with Hong Kong grey imports? Is there really an issue with these?
Anyone know a good ( read cheap but reliable!) website to buy from?
Thanks

No UK warranty for grey imports. You'll have to send it back to the retailer if anything goes wrong. There are HK sellers who have UK reps though.....

+1 for HDEW, UK Based and the same with their returns.
Just as many people these days seem to complain about the Nikon service anyway, so are you really losing anything without a Nikon warranty, especially when HDEW repairs are UK based.
As far as I know HDEW is a long established family business too, so not a fly by night faceless web company.
