Just spotted this which seems like an absolute steal given the reviews: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004MPQXZA/ref=dra_a_rv...

I'm not much of a photographer at all really, though it does interest me. Is this a worthwhile purchase at that sort of money for someone who may (or may not) get much use out of it?

You can't really go wrong at that money. Beware it is a slippery slope though! If you're over my way any time you're welcome to borrow lenses.

It looks like they have some good deals on all of their DSLRs at the moment.

Bought one a couple of weeks ago. My first DSLR.

Added a 75-300 zoom off eBay.

I've had one of these for about 18 months - my first foray into dSLR - it's a great starter camera, and still capable of taking great pictures.

I'm looking to upgrade and try full frame now - but this would be kept in the car for "everyday"

SD.

Love that SD.

A decent tripod is on my list. Quite addictive as a starter DSLR isn't it....

Currently bidding on one via ebay. Just spotted that the 1200d is soon to be launched so that explains the price drop!

Yep - that extra lens is perfect for motorsport and similar. Great price.

Managed to bag it yesterday on Amazon at £209.99 - it's now increased in price to £239.99. Pretty chuffed with that!

Bit bored taking pictures of my pint now though.
