Amazing Free Hi-Res Photography

I've got photography all over my house and there are a good few images by PH's talented photographers.
I just pm'd people who's images I liked and asked if I could have a high res copy to print out and frame.
Most were more than happy to, mentioning its nice to know their picture is up somewhere. A couple asked for a few beer tokens (substantially cheaper than mass produced images from online stores). Some, understandably so, told me to get lost!
Not sure what subject matter you are after but I found the urbex guys and girls to be particularly helpful.

As much as it's probably a bit naughty, go to google images, set the search parameters to large or some high MP count and then search for the subject you want. Grab the file and send it off to which ever printer you prefer.
Not like you're taking the image and selling it as your own or using it for a commercial project. Printing it for display on your wall in your home is fair game imo. If the photographer wanted to protect their images, they shouldn't be uploading high res originals to places google images references.
Of course, if google can point you to the photographers website, no harm in asking first. Most (especially amateurs) will be delighted that someone wants to have their photo on their wall.

If you allow someone to steal your stuff then they will. Leaving your front door open doesn't entitle someone to take what they want but you would be a fool to sit there and let them get on with it.
If you upload high res originals without watermarks then youre only fooling yourself into thinking people won't take them and use them.

Well considering my suggestion was shot down... Maybe worth reading the terms of that site before you go downloading and printing those images...Not car specific, but all the images are free and available to download at a variety of resolutions
