Heard that airport will take away your battery charger from your luggage, is that true?

I took my charger to the US in May. They searched my bag too, picked it up, looked at it, put it back.

Still, best to make sure I would say!

I take my charger and laptop and power supply and all my photo kit on planes weekly to Europe, Africa and the US on just about every airline as hand luggage - never had a problem.

Though to be honest, when I have hold baggage I put my chargers and power supplies etc. in my checked suitcase, as I will not need them during the flight and it's less to carry...

In my suitcase. No need to have it in hand luggage usually...

then again they do want to confiscate a pack of photos and a travel alarm clock as it may be a bomb.
