Naming and PRAISING
Discussion
I know naming and shaming isn't allowed but I just wanted to share a good experience, I'm in no way associated with them so I'm guessing I'm not braking any rules.
My Nissing ring flash got broken, one bulb wasn't flashing. I checked for dealers in UK and found www.kenro.co.uk.
I called them, gentleman responsible for spares was off that day so a nice lady took the message and I heard back from him next day morning. (so many times leaving a message means nothing and nobody gets back to you)
I wanted to pay for the bulb and change it myself but he insisted that maybe I'm covered by Nissin's two years warranty. I bought it on Ebay but from an authorised reseller so Steve from Kenro told me to ship it over so they can check it.
I was hesitant because I need it every day, even with one bulb gone. That's why I wanted to order it and change it myself. I told them that I need it urgently.
I posted it two days ago and received a brand new unit this morning! During the whole time communication was great, emails responded very promptly.
I really cannot fault www.kenro.co.uk and will be happy to buy Nissin in the future knowing that if something goes wrong, that's what my warranty experience will be like.

Loosely pertaining to photography & video but definitely worthy of praise.
I've started to record a few bits and pieces of Photoshop with a view to making a few video tutorials for Youtube on creating cinemagraphs etc. The program I've always used for this is Playclaw and I bought it back in mid 2012. It stopped working last week and I couldn't fix it. I contacted their help section and they asked me to try the free trial of their newest software (
I could see where this was going) and sure enough it worked like a dream, sporting all its new shiny new features. I told them it had worked but I wasn't able to drop another £35 on their software.
They replied pretty much immediately telling me to use the CD key I'd been given back in 2012 as they've just upgraded my account to the newest version for free. I didn't think there were companies like that in existence any more!

Ok, I have another one!
LARMOR GGS LCD Glass Screen Protector
I normally hate using any sort of plasticky crap on my phones/cameras etc due to how badly they affect the quality but it does piss me off when I scratch the screen.
I bought one of those on ebay for 5D and it's such a great little thing! I've just ordered the set for 1Dx
Very, very recommended.

Again no link whatsoever to these guys, but http://srb-photographic.co.uk are excellent to deal with, and unusually for photography, have some relatively cheap products that are actually excellent.
I wanted to try out some 10-stop photography and a very, very lengthy thread on Talk Photography with near universal praise for their Camdiox filters came up. Bang for buck there is nothing that comes close in my opinion.

I like happy posts and that does sound like great service
I have two that I guess are relevant for here, and I have nothing to do with either of these!
Jessops. I can't fault them, I ordered a 70-300mm Nikon Lens recently using their interest free pay over 6 months option (as it seemed a no brainer), price was just about same as anywhere. Service was great and it arrived in good packaging the next day. I'll be buying other stuff from them as long as the price isn't way off. I also bought my D7000 from them a few years ago before the stores went and they were fairly priced and good service then too.
I've hired a couple of Lenses from here - lenses for hire they are local enough for me to collect / drop off in person but the pricing and service is just great and the range is huge. They now also stock DSLRs as well so I suspect I'll be trying before I buy another body.
