Where is the best place to get a few big prints of slides I have?

Redwoods in Colchester are well known: good work but not cheap I hear. Bacardi may have other suggestions too.

..or, have 'em scanned and get Photobox or alike to print them.

You can't beat a nice big Cibachrome print.

How big? The best place would be central London labs. Redwood, as already mentioned, used to do R type prints, not sure if they still do though. Cibachromes can be a bit too punchy and are best printed with a contrast reducing mask. Specialist Labs only and loads of money. I think the best way would be to get them scanned and a large inkjet or a Fuji Pictograph print made from that.

I would inquire at a high street lab first, they will be a lot cheaper. If they can't help try Redwood, but expect to pay:

When I was getting prints done commercially from trannies I used a chap called Owen Boyd based in Tunbridge Wells. He used to work for a central London lab but has been running his own business now for several years. His attention to detail is superb.
