I'm assuming you don't want to travel to Newcastle

Two just a little further upstream
1. Waterloo bridge looking down into the City is often a super view with a good sky. When I worked in the centre of townand had a really awful day I used to walk over this bridge in the evening to get this view. I never cease to enjoy the beauty of some of the buildings at night, always cheers me up a bit.
2. Houses of Parliament can be nice. I've done a bit from the new Jubilee footbridge (upstream side) and you can get a nice clear view of the HoP and also the Eye. With a wide angle both can be framed in the same image, a 10-15 second exposure and hey presto you get the movement of the wheel and the HoP. Can be nice with a velvety inky sky.
3. Big Ben. Cropped in tight with just the uppermost part on the sky can work well
4. Albert bridge at night is nice. Ok it's a little cliche'd but is still photogenic

Whats that in the foreground? A Jabberwocky?
Comming from Se6 the nearest i see to wildlife is the old dear next door letting her JackRussel wee up car tyres.
BTW, Great pic.
I was thinking along similar lines, ie what to photoghraph?
This constant gloom and the sky a glaring grey. No doubt caused by the hole in the ozone layer.
I know i am only 33 but i'm sure i remember a time when you could look up at the sky without being blinded!
Btw, i believe there is a full moon on the 26th and so long as back teeth aren't awash i shall endevour to try out my first lunar shots. Even though i won't be back from work till 23:30

This will be the pics from South Hill.
There is a very small layby as you go over the hill on the right.
It is past the church and just after you go around a left hand bend.
You can see right over to London from there.
My camera has a 10x zoom, you can see Canary Wharf, London Eye and Battersea Power Station from there.
