If you've been dipping in to the Random Photos thread you may have noticed a few images of mine from the Hot Blade exercise in Portugal - instead of constantly bogging down the thread I thought I'd create a separate thread and chuck all the images in at once.
I spent a week with 751 Squadron at Ovar documenting as much of the exercise I could and flying on a range of different missions, the most interesting being a 1v1 evasion sortie against a PoAF F-16AM whilst we were in a AW101. Something that showed just how much the crews have to work seamlessly together to ensure success - thankfully my sick bag remained un-used.
My article complete with photos should be live around mid September and featured online and print in Vertical911 which I'm extremely pleased about.

Anyway on with the shots, I hope you've upgraded your internet providing's.

Been loving these on Flickr, the panning/night/take-off/afterburner shots are just ridiculously sublime.

C&C? My only immediate thoughts in between all the 'wows' was that I would have liked to have seen a bit more environment, some feel very 'tight'.

You've put a great deal of time and effort into those and it shows, the results are excellent. My favourite isn't actually one of the aircraft shots but no 56, 'the lookout'.

You're definitely right, the days I chose not to fly and stay on the ground to photograph the other air assets the weather was naff so I didn't feel they worked that well. I'll definitely have a look through again though, thanks!

It shows that you've put bags of effort in, you've done a fantastic job of covering the ex. The static stuff is great and the top-down shots of the helos are sublime, but the show-stealers for me are the human-interest shots, most notably the guy being medevac'd. Great sense of movement and it really puts you in the moment. Top job.
