Shutter operations on a second hand camera, what is high?
Discussion
Or is it nothing to worry about?
OK, been on this 350D a while and eyeing up a second hand 60D or 70D. But, is the clincher going to be shutter operations? Not really sure I need the 70D though. I do have a EF-S lens that I want to keep.
Loot is not really there for brand new but looking on one of the sites that will regularly get a mention on here for new and second hand and had good service with a lens or two.
Trying to find what mine is but the software it came with will not run with Mavericks.

Yeah. MPB. Shutter count is listed on the few I have looked at. But if I see three or four at the same price then the count is what I am after for the next decider I think. e.g. 12,000 vs 41,000 at the same price. Then chuck in condition etc.
Saw one at 103,000
I appreciate it is mechanical and the length of a bit of string could be involved.
Wish I could get at mine so I can see how many I have taken as a guide.

Was looking at the live view on the DPreview site when comparing models, handy for a scope which is something I like. There are drawbacks it would seem but when bolted to the scope, the benefits for me out way the drawbacks.
Edit. Doh! I could search my computer for the number of files matching the Canon format. Will not be bang on but a ball park figure. Seems the 350 uses a chip that is none too friendly for interrogation.
