Go pro type camera wanted
Discussion
Been looking at one of these cameras for a while, putting on the roof rack of my green laner, track days, canoeing etc
Getting married next year and going away for three weeks afterwards, so would like a device that we can use to document what we do / see so then I can learn to edit it all up into something to keep
What should I be looking for, ideally Id like something that can be charged by USB and has swappable batteries so it's a bit more flexible. Time lapse feature is important as they are great for capturing long sequences of stuff
I'd also like flexible mounting options
Any advice on models of go pro and other similar makes
Money is tightish but don't want to buy something crap
Thanks

Thanks I was looking at that, don't think the batteries are changeable and don't think it can do a timelapse, does look excellent for the money thoughA friend of mine bought one of these and he's happy with it
It's not got all of the Go-Pro features but then again it's not Go-Pro money either

The new HERO 4 SILVER is a great camera for the money. It's pretty much the same spec as the older Hero 3+ Black but with more features including a built-in LCD Touch Screen.

Can you power a camera from a 12V supply while it shoots?
Yes, via a USB adaptor if you use the correct housing - the standard housing is designed to be waterproof, however you can get 'skeleton' housings separately with holes at the appropriate sockets. The other questions about duration?
