Has anyone been brave enough to attach a D5 to the outside of a moving car? If you have I would love to know what type of suction cup mount you used.

I often stick a D4s 5ft out from a drifting car using avenger F1000 cups. Only had the one cup fail in 5 years and the car was static at the time, it was pretty expensice for the insurance company though as the camera was positioned roughly 9ft in the air eek

I've had one of these for a very long time and nowadays mostly use it for mounting my GoPro in a variety of ways. It sticks like the proverbial to a blanket. I think it'd be up to the task of mounting a DSLR on the exterior of a car but I'd want to tether it and probably fit a silicon case to the camera body.

Yes, well a new 5Dii (as it was then) to the side of a few cars that managed in excess of 120mph.

Results were impressive.
