Old photo recovery help required

Hi,

I'm trying to recover an old photo via a scanner and PaintShop Pro - have managed to address all but one of the issues, so close but so far.

Basically I cannot get rid of a sequence of vertical bandings through the picture, they are on the original picture by virtue of the material it is on.

I've attached a snapshot which hopefully shows the effect I'm trying to get rid of - so far the best I've done is to average out the picture but the setting needs to be so high the people end up looking out of focus.

Any help appreciated.

That'll clone out easily in Photoshop. Might be a tad time consuming if you're as picky as I am but very doable.

Thanks for the input (and offer of help) - managed to get it fixed with a combination of cloning and averaging on selected areas
