I've just been out today and last night taking pics of my brother-in-law's (R1joe) R1.

I was brave and without consulting the manual thought I'd try and tackle manual mode....here are the results....

Cracking shots, very sharp. What kit are you using?

Fecking hell!, with no IS and taken from a moving car, and you're using a slow shutter speed!! - Nice work!

Thank you very much, you don't realise how bumpy a road you use a lot is, until you're pointing a camera out of the window and trying to hold it steady

The longest shutter speed I went to was 1/80 I think, at about 60ish mph.

I was suprised at how sharp those shots came out at actually

Wonderful shots. Hand held from a moving car - very good indeed.

What setting did you use in the car park shots? Lighting?

Thank you, the shots in the car park were done.....3 of them were F22 and 6sec shutter speed, the one with the Civic was 10secs at F22 and the greeny looking one was 6secs at F16, all just using the car park lighting, no flash or reflectors used.

That was taken at full 70mm zoom, I wanted to take a few steps back but my sister's civic was in the way and would've had the back end in shot, aaand I couldn't be bothered to move it, also, didn't want the bike to be swamped by the surroundings.
