I got sent through a deal on Amazon for a 14 module on-line course through The Image Academy. It was over £200, I know take this with a pinch of salt, but they were advertising it for £39.99.

For that price I thought why not, it should get my photography skills better. it would be hard to get them any worse if we are honest! biggrin

Anyway, has anyone done any courses through the image academy.

Just want to get a heads up on what to expect as I have never done a course on-line. It looks reasonably in depth, being 14 modules I think, but starting from the basics which will be good for me.

Thanks all

problem with Photography courses is that few are accredited. The only ones I know are quality validated (with RPS) are degrees, cgli and a couple of other courses. Im sure you'll learn something from them the full price is steep for what is essentially a husband and wife team that appear to be self taught, have flashy web-site and BS marketing. Loads of people out there playing the same game. They're not making a living out of their pictures so they turn to teaching...

IMHO you'll learn far more by just taking photos, bunging them on the 'Random' thread and asking people for C&C.

Thanks both. I have signed up for it as it was only £30 odd so nothing lost really.

It's bound to teach me something even if it's just how to point and click with the right settings rather than just the auto focus. biggrin
