With Canon offering £250 cashback with a 5d3 is now the time to upgrade ? Been offered a respectable trade in from MBP and adding a lens I've not used for a year leaves me with about net £1200 to pay for a new 5d3 which I think is pretty cheap !

I suspect they're offering cash back to clear stocks of 5d3 ready for the 5d4 launch later this year . . . any news on the 5d4 and what it might offer other than 4k video ?

Not much around at the moment except the expectation that the announcement may not be before August at the earliest.

Here's a rumours site that provides a pretty honest appraisal of where the rumours industry stands on new models.

5d3 is a HUGe improvement on the 5d2.

AF, perfomance, gadgets, IQ everything is a big step up.

The 6d is IMo a much better camera than the 5d2 but not as good for sport etc.

I expect with the 50mp 5ds/r out the 5d4 will be more sport/pj orientated.

I expect a small increase in resolution if any, 8fps, perhaps 4k video.
