...allied to my post about getting a better video camera, has anyone got any recommendations for low-cost video editing software for knocking together training & info videos. I'd like to be able to edit together footage of presenter & then footage from my screencapture software with the usual basic titling etc.

Basic is fine although picture in picture would be a huge bonus. This is for a backboiler project which if it goes ok I'd probably have reshot by a pro videographer but at the moment cheap & cheerful is the name of the game!

I use Corel pro x7 and its pretty good.

Try iMovie if you're using a Mac which is free and comes pre-installed, alternatively I'm led to believe that iMovie 6.0.1 (which is an older version) is pretty damn good, do a search on Google for where to download it from.

I use Wondershare a lot. It is very simple, cheap, and easy to get the hang of.
