Migrating photos from Apple Photos to Adobe Lightroom
Discussion
HI,
I am looking for a little advice if anyone can help.
I have quite a lot of my older photos in Apples Photos application which replace iPhotos on my machine when I upgraded to Yosemite, I am not using it much as I like Lightroom, the thing I am stuck on is I'd like to move all my photos over from Photos to Lightroom as it is much better and I want everything in one place.
Thanks in advance.

I'm planning on doing this from Aperture later on - This link looks promising, but I've NOT tried it yet...

I used the plug-in to migrate a quite puny iPhoto/Photos library. Worked perfectly.
I'm not overly keen on the file structure/projects/folders handling, but once I've been sufficiently disciplined to rename everything and move it about it'll be easy to use.
Change was due to accidentally upgrading iOS on my older MBP, which stopped Aperture (which I really liked) from working, and forced me into Photos, which I'm unimpressed with.

Did this last night and it took about 5 hours - works a treat and the gremlins I've had with Aperture (there were many) have mostly vanished.
For some reason, when I used Aperture, it would read the library and then just hang the whole system - a hard "off" would kill the whole filesystem resulting in a rebuild. In the past 3 months, I've had to rebuild my macbook 5 times...
