Hiring glass for Silverstone
Discussion
I have full three day pass for Silverstone Motogp at the end of the month.
Im fed up with carp pics due to huge crops using my D300/70/300 so am considering hiring some glass from say Lens for hire.
Any thoughts on anyhting related to this chaps ?
Cost isnt free, Id like to keep below a ton realsitically.

I always wondered what a fish-eye-lens was for?Turn7 said:

Alternatively, I find that picking up any new lens needs some time getting used to it. What about picking up something secondhand - getting familiar with it and then selling it off. I think I had a tatty old 70-200 for about four years, it did the job and I'm pretty sure I only lost the Fleabay costs overall when I came to sell it.There are loads of places to shoot comfortably with a 300 on crop at Silverstone, it does admittedly take a little bit of leg work though. I went through a phase of chasing extra reach and in my experience it's not a magic bullet (I shoot a 70-200 on full-frame now!)
My favourite photographer 'behind the fence' at Silverstone uses a 400mm on full frame, and a guy who started out with a 70-200 on crop there and nothing else has gone on to be a highly regarded professional.
